Jessica Cohen Taubman, Esq.

My Story

Jessica is a drug testing, employment background screening, and cannabis policy expert with over a decade of experience in the screening industry.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Temple University, Juris Doctor from the Emory University School of Law, and Master of Science from the University of Pennsylvania. Jessica started her career in compliance at Pinkerton, where she learned the ins and outs of employment background screening and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).  She took that experience into her next role leading compliance in background screening and drug testing, and created one of the most robust internal audit programs in the industry.  Most recently she worked at a product start up where she advised on compliance and legal affairs, regulatory matters, policy efforts ,and cannabis legalization.  This intersection of law, criminal justice, FCRA compliance, and drug testing with a specific knowledge surrounding cannabis policy has left her uniquely positioned to consult clients on their programs and balance their business and compliance needs.

She is committed to community service and leads many charitable initiatives, and is a pro bono attorney for the Esperanza Center for immigration and Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project.

Jessica enjoys spending time at home outside of Baltimore with her husband and young son and daughter, along with their very spoiled dog.  She's usually schlepping them to birthday parties, ice skating lessons or dance class, but when she has some free time she enjoys reading, cooking and watching most shows on Bravo.
